Professional Gutter Installation in Miami
Miami's tropical climate brings frequent heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and hurricane season, making a professionally installed gutter system essential for protecting homes and commercial properties. Without properly functioning gutters, rainwater can damage foundations, roofs, landscaping, driveways, and exterior walls, leading to expensive repairs over time.

Sizing a Miami Gutter System
Most Miami homes are fitted with 5-inch gutters by default. On a lot of roofs that is simply too small for the volume this city gets in a single August afternoon. We install 6-inch and 7-inch, and the size comes from the roof area draining into each run, the pitch, and how long the run is before it reaches a downspout.
The part most people get wrong is downspouts. Overflow in South Florida is caused by too few downspouts, or downspouts that are undersized, far more often than by a gutter that is too narrow. A 6-inch gutter with one downspout at the wrong end of a long run will spill; a correctly broken-up run with properly sized outlets often will not.
Tile, Flat and Metal Roofs
Miami has three roof types that each hang differently, and getting this wrong is what causes most of the gutter failures we are called out to fix.
On barrel and flat tile, the gutter has to sit so the front lip is below the plane of the roof, catching water coming off the tile rather than sitting in its path. Hanger spacing and the fascia detail have to carry the run without disturbing the tile edge. Done badly you get cracked tile and water tracking behind the fascia board.
On flat and low-slope roofs — common on Miami's mid-century and contemporary houses — the issue is where the water is being directed and whether the existing scuppers and overflows are doing anything. On metal, the fastening has to allow for thermal movement, because a metal roof expands and contracts far more than the gutter attached to it.
Gutters and Hurricane Season
A gutter system that handles ordinary rain can still fail in a named storm, and it almost always fails in the same two places: the hangers and the downspout connections.
Before each season we check hanger spacing and condition, make sure downspouts are secured and discharging well away from the foundation, and clear anything that would dam a run during a heavy band. Debris that is merely annoying in June becomes the reason water goes over the front of the gutter in September.
The time to deal with it is before the forecast, not during it. Once a storm is named, every gutter company in Miami-Dade is booked.
What Installation Day Looks Like
We form the gutters on site. The aluminum comes on a coil and runs through a machine on the truck, so each length is cut to your roofline rather than joined from sections. That is what seamless means, and it is why most residential installations are finished in a single day.
You get a written estimate before anything starts, with the gutter size, material, color, downspout count and downspout size listed. Colors are baked enamel and we match to your existing fascia, trim or stucco rather than defaulting to white. No charge for the visit and no pressure at the end of it.
